BIO:
Marie Natale started painting at the age of twelve encouraged by a teacher who recognized her early potential. Marie developed her talent through high school and then went on to receive a Masters degree in Art Education from Rowan University. Thus, began a lifelong love affair with creativity and art, which has manifested in a variety of achievements.

An early advocate of art education for children of all ages, Marie taught in the public school system for ten years, and won the acclaimed "Teacher of the Year Award".

Marie is also a business woman who founded Paw Togs/Enchanted Beginnings, a designer clothing line for infants and children. After successfully running this business for 10 years, Marie turned her attention to industrial design, and currently creates gift products and containers which are distributed in national chains such as Wal-mart and Lowes.

In the summer of 2003, Marie produced a total of eight lighthouses for the "Beacons by the Sea" fundraising project sponsored by the Cape Atlantic Community College. Similar to the "Chicago Cows" fund raiser, the lighthouse project encouraged artists to design and paint five-foot fiberglass lighthouses with local and whimsical motifs. Similarly, in 2005, two of Marie’s design proposals were granted in the final selection for the "Nipper Dog Project", raising over $300,000 in funds for the town of Moorestown, NJ . In October of 2005, Marie captured the Magali Gottesthal Memorial Award in the prestigious New Jersey Water Color Society Show, won Best In Show at the NJWCS Associates Show in 2006 and an Award of Excellence in 2007.

Excited to share the charm and beauty of southern New Jersey, Marie uses her exciting palette of color to give new life to Victorian homes, rustic boating shacks, seashore scenes, and local venues quickly vanishing, lost to new construction or decay and neglect.

Marie teaches watercolor privately at her home studio in EHT, at the Ocean City Art Center in Ocean City, NJ, and at community centers and art guilds throughout the state. A popular demonstrator and workshop leader, sharing knowledge of art theory and design as well as techniques in this exciting medium brings Marie full circle to her early training in art education.

An elected member of the New Jersey Watercolor Society, Marie Natale is an award winning and highly recognized artist who says her goal in life is to use her talents to make the world a brighter place while she continues to share with others the joy that art has brought into her life.
